bandwidthforms

The bandwidth Calculator is just a guideline to determine the amount of bandwidth you believe you may need, so that it will be easier to decide on a shared hosting environment or a dedicated server, or to even colocate your own server.

How much data can you download per day?
This calculator will show the number of bytes for lots of
different bandwidth's. You can specify the amount of overhead to be taken into account. A realistic value for normal internet usage (average filesize less than 25KByte) is 50% overhead.

In data communications only the Metric definition of a kilobyte
(1000 bytes per kilobyte) is correct. The binary definition of a
kilobyte (1024 bytes per kilobyte) is used in areas such as data
storage (harddisk, memory), but not for expressing bandwidth and throughput.

The average website only uses about 2 - 8 Gigs of bandwidth per month. Websites with large amount of traffic can easily use 300 plus Gigs, for websites that use 50 plus Gigs, we recommend a dedicated server, as this allows for better utilization of processor and storage resources, for better performance and unrestricted growth. This would also allow for your own custom security policy, per server.

**SPECIAL NOTE **
The maximum theoretical throughput of a 100 Meg network card is approximately 12.5 megabytes per second, but may vary.

We have been providing reliable Colocated Server and dedicated server space and Bandwidth for over 13 years. Please feel free to request references or any further information. All Bandwidth is routed over 100 meg ports on network Switch’s with 56Gig backplanes. All bandwidth is available at our location.

To be able to purchase bandwidth you will need to be located in the same building.
